While Yerry Mina the recent January buy, was expected to play in these kind of matches, at the beginning of his Barcelona career. Girona might have been a surprise package in Laliga this season, put surely Vermaelen and Mina are able replacement for Pique and Valverde can have given his first choice center back a rest.

Messi was at another level today. His sensational assist for Suarez and Barca's first goal was out of the world. If suarez can keep up this form, then Barcelona does have a really good chance of winning the champions league again this season. He has finally adjusted to life after Neymar at Barcelona, and his form will be crucial for Barca in the upcoming fixtures.
1) Coutinho and Dembele shown why Barca bought them
Dembele has been hit from injury ever since he joined Barcelona. While Coutinho has not been too much impactful as of yet. The math against Girona, was a statement by them to the rest of the world. They showed they belong with Messi and Suarez. If this is the sign of what is to come next season in all competition, then it is a worrying sight for any Barcelona rivals. Dembele played in the left of the forward line , while Coutinho took on the place of Iniesta. Both were eventually rewarded for the display that they put. With Coutinho scoring a stunner for his first Laliga goal for Barcelona and Dembele providing a typical pinpoint assist from a winger. If these to keep on stepping up, surely the league and Spanish Cup will be Barcelona's this year. While Champions League also a possibility for Barcelona this season.
